About Yasser Al-Faylakawi

Sheikh Yasser Al-Faylakawi is a Kuwaiti Quran reciter and imam serving with Kuwait's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. A former imam of the Grand Mosque in Kuwait City and of the Jaber al-Ali mosque, he is known for his murattal recitation of the Quran in the Hafs 'an 'Asim reading.

Besides leading prayers, he heads technical affairs at the Quran affairs department and teaches for the Ministry of Education. In 2007 he took part in a recorded reading of Imam al-Nawawi's Forty Hadith.
