Surah An-Nasr – Mohamed Al Mohisni

An-Nasr ("The Succour", or "Divine Help") is the 110th surah of the Quran, in Juz' Amma. Medinan, it has 3 verses and is the last, 114th, surah in the traditional order of revelation, after At-Tawba; Ibn Abbas described it as the last surah to be revealed complete (Muslim). It opens: "When the help of God comes, and the conquest" (110:1).

It announces the conquest, which commentators identify with that of Mecca, and people entering God's religion in crowds, then calls for glorifying and praising God and seeking His forgiveness, "for He is ever accepting of repentance" (110:2-3).

Umar once asked the veterans of Badr about it. Some saw in it a command to praise God and seek His forgiveness in victory, but Ibn Abbas explained that it announced the approaching end of the Prophet's life ﷺ, and Umar agreed (al-Bukhari). It is therefore also called the surah of farewell (at-Tawdi').

Aisha reported that after its revelation, the Prophet ﷺ said in every prayer: "Glory be to You, our Lord, and praise be to You; O God, forgive me" (al-Bukhari).
