Imam of the King Khalid Mosque

The King Khalid Grand Mosque, in the Umm al-Hamam district of western Riyadh, opened in 1988; it holds more than 3,600 worshippers in its main hall and 1,800 in the women's section. Khalid al-Jalil succeeded Sheikh Adel Al Kalbani, who had led prayers there for about twenty years. His Tarawih prayers of Ramadan 1434 and 1435 AH (2013 and 2014) were recorded, as was a murattal recitation made in 1430 AH (2009), in the Hafs reading.

Spokesman for the Ifta

In September 2023 the then Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abd al-Aziz Al al-Sheikh, issued a decision naming him official spokesman of the General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta and its branches, as part of an effort to strengthen the institution's communication with the media.
